By car Phillip Island is an easy 90 minute drive from Melbourne. Travel along the Monash Freeway (M1) away from Melbourne and turn off at the South Gippsland Highway exit. Continue travelling on the South Gippsland Highway (M420) and follow the signs for Phillip Island onto the Bass Highway (A420). At the Anderson roundabout, turn right onto the Phillip Island Tourist Road (B420). At San Remo, cross the bridge onto Phillip Island. Follow the signs to reach the Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Centre, Churchill Island Heritage Farm or the Nobbies Centre. These attractions are no more than a 10-15 minute drive from each other.
By Bus V/Line runs daily coach services between Southern Cross Station and Cowes on Phillip Island, via Grantville, Corinella, Bass, San Remo and Newhaven. For detailed information contact V/Line on 136 196 or visit www.vline.com.au. Note: the bus takes the main road into Cowes and does not stop at any of the Nature Park's attractions.
Once on Phillip Island The Penguin Express Service through Phillip Island Bus Lines transports guests from their accommodation anywhere on the Island or San Remo to the Penguin Parade nightly. The Service runs every night of the year and seating is guaranteed.
The cost is $15.00 from the Island and $17.00 for San Remo per person (return fare). The service allows guests ample time to enjoy the Penguin Parade.
