Phillip Island Nature Parks is dedicated to the protection of the Little Penguins. It is for this reason that no outdoor photography and filming at the Penguin Parade is allowed - even without the use of a flash. The Little Penguins are wild creatures and studies have shown that photography disturbs and frightens them. Please respect this rule and help us protect the Little Penguins and their colony.
If you would like a photo of the Little Penguins, why not try our 'greenscreen' Little Peguin Photo Experience at the Penguin Parade visitor's centre? Put youself in the photo with our Little Penguins without disturbing them. It is a fun and unique momento of your penguin viewing experience.
Commercial Filming and Photography
A permit is required for all commercial photography and filming at Phillip Island Nature Parks. High resolution digital images, Betacam and widescreen Digibeta footage of the Nature Park (including the Little Penguins and Penguin Parade) are available upon request.
