Working together to make education accessible The Chisholm Education Centre is a natural progression in the relationship between Chisholm Institute and Phillip Island Nature Parks. This successful, well established training partnership commenced in 2004 with a Certificate III Tourism Operations course, Since then the Phillip Island Nature Parks staff have completed Certificate and Diploma course in Hospitality, Tourism, Work Place Training and Assessment, Advanced Diploma of Management and Customer Service. The Chisholm Education Centre will extend skills development to the Phillip Island community and help meet the region’s demand for training. Chisholm Institute and Phillip Island Nature Parks are working together to deliver a Graduate Certificate in eco tourism aimed at domestic and international students, and hope to have the course runny in early 2011. How this course will differ from other eco tourism course is that students will have access to Phillip Island Nature Park facilities, with staff assisting in class delivery.
