Phillip Island Nature Parks recently celebrated the achievements of 37 staff who were awarded certificates and diplomas from Chisholm Institute of Tafe during a ceremony at the Nobbies Centre.

The qualifications came following a skills assessment conducted at the Nature Parks in 2012 by Chisholm representatives, as well as six staff who completed traineeships.

“During the course of the assessments it became evident that a number of our staff had acquired a high level of on the job skills that hadn’t yet been recognised with formal qualifications,” said the Nature Parks human resources manager, Margie Woods.

“The number of certificates and diplomas recently awarded to staff are testament to the quality of skills in the Nature Parks’ workforce.”

Those receiving certificates at the ceremony included: Ebony Keady, Lorrae Grayden, Anthony Lelliot, Shaun Kenny, Scott Williams, Richard Stuteley, Colleen Potter, Julie Hunt, Carmel Luke, Pam Spera, Tom Caulfield, Kally Van Venrooy, Sheelagh Adams, Wendy Clark, Deborah Judson, Nicole Fairbairn, Tracey Martin, Jacquelyn Winter, Ian Shadbolt and Pat Russell.
