Suggested itineraries

Located only 90 minutes from Melbourne, Phillip Island Nature Parks is a comfortable day trip to enjoy iconic Australian wildlife amongst spectacular landscapes. The Penguin Parade, Koala Conservation Centre and Churchill Island Heritage Farm and Nobbies Centre can all be explored in one day. The numerous quality accommodation providers, a variety of restaurants, relaxing beaches and parks also encourage an extended multi-day trip.

One day

  • Churchill Island Heritage Farm (open 10am daily)
  • Lunch at Nobbies Centre
  • Explore the Nobbies cliff top boardwalks and look for seals and migrating whales
  • Koala Conservation Centre and tree top boardwalks
  • Penguin Parade ranger guided tour of your choice
  • Dinner at Penguin Parade café.


Two days

Day one

  • Churchill Island Heritage Farm (open 10am daily)
  • Lunch at Nobbies Centre
  • Explore the Nobbies cliff top boardwalks and look for seals and migrating whales

  • Rhyll Inlet mangrove boardwalks
  • Koala Conservation Centre and tree top boardwalks
  • A walk at Cape Woolamai, Swan Lake or Pyramid Rock.
