Join Phillip Island Nature Parks rangers and discover what happens after dark at the Koala Reserve, explore the mysterious lives of rockpool creatures, or maybe join us for some fun nature-based art and craft activities. Activity Descriptions


Bugs, Bandicoots & Digs:

Visit Churchill Island and join our rangers to learn more about the amazing Eastern barred bandicoots who now call this area home. The rangers have some fun bandicoot and bug craft so join in!

Koala Prowl:
Venture into the night with Phillip Island Nature Parks’ rangers for a close encounter with the creatures of the Koala Reserve. Try to spot koalas, possums, bats and more.

Nature Scavenger Hunt:
Explore Phillip Island’s bushland on this ranger led scavenger hunt.

Wild Art & Craft:
Have fun creating art and craft masterpieces in this nature inspired session!
Bookings are NOT required, participation available anytime between 10:30-12:30pm at the Koala Reserve (entry to the Koalas is not required to join in). Children must be accompanied by an adult.


Rockpool Spotlight:
Come and join us for the after dark action of the rockpools. Delve into the mysterious lives of our rockpool creatures as our rangers enthral you with the incredible diversity and abilities of the animals that live here.

Come and explore Phillip Island Nature Parks with a ranger and learn more about our beautiful environs!

Phillip Island Nature Parks’ education rangers hold current Working with Children checks or Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration. Each ranger is highly skilled in environmental education.

The WEATHER is unpredictable and out of our control. Outdoor activities will be canceled if it is raining or if too hot, call us on the day for details.
PLEASE be prepared, with sunscreen, hat, coat, sensible shoes and a torch for night activities.
