At Phillip Island Nature Parks we inspire future careers in environmental conservation with our Work Experience and Volunteering Opportunities.

Work Experience

Applications are now closed for 2022.

This year we offered four places to students in the week of Monday 20th June 2022 to Friday 24th June 2022. Applications closed on the 31st March 2022 and we had over sixty applications of a very high standard.

Work experience opportunities are available for Year 10 students who have a passion for working in the environment. Our unique week-long program allows students to gain hands on experience in many areas of the Nature Parks, including assisting rangers at the Penguin Parade, revegetation work with the environment team, koala enclosure maintenance at the Koala Conservation Reserve and daily farming activities on Churchill Island Heritage Farm. Please note that due to the competitive nature of this program, the application process has changed, and successful students will be accepted based upon their applications.
