Turn the Tide

The Phillip Island Nature Parks’ Education and Interpretation team are delighted to have the opportunity to offer a free of charge program titled “Turn the Tide” to year 5 to 9 students in 2019. The program has been offered through generous support by the Victorian Department of Education and Training.

Program Highlights:

  • Free transport to and from Phillip Island 
  • Two incursions at your school by Nature Parks’ Education Rangers
  • Linked to Victorian Curriculum outcomes
  • Teaching and learning resources included

Young Esteamed Scientists

Young Esteamed Scientists aims to build STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) skills in young learners with hands on, real-world situations at Phillip Island.
Program Highlights:

Chirpy Chicks

Students are immersed in storytelling through our book What Animal am I?. They delve into the day in the life of a little penguin, exploring features and adaptations with the use
of taxidermies.

Program Highlights:

  • Hand knitted little penguin jumper and storybook included for each student
  • Linked to Victorian Curriculum outcomes
