CHURCHILL ISLAND COMES ALIVE TO OCEAN SOUNDS
The Highland cows, Clydesdale horses, sheep, eastern barred bandicoots, and other animals of Churchill Island will be relaxing to the sounds of some of Australia’s most exciting musical acts in January when the Ocean Sounds Music Festival comes to the island.
The family-friendly, all day concert will be held on Saturday 19 January and will be headlined by Dan Sultan, with other acts including the Pierce Brothers, Jen Cloher, Oh Pep!, Mike Waters, and local artists, Steve Cousins, Maddy May and Imogen Price.
Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic rug and enjoy the atmosphere, while sampling some local wines, cheeses and gourmet delights from the food vans.
For families wanting to break up the day, Churchill Island Heritage Farm will be open during the event, where children can come and meet the farm animals, take a wagon ride, help with the cow milking, view sheep shearing and whip cracking demonstrations, and see the working dogs round up the sheep.
Phillip Island Nature Parks are proud to be supporting the 2019 Ocean Sounds Festival.
